In a nutshell, it involves shaping the front surface of the cornea with a laser, leading to the removal of the vision defect. Laser vision correction is also possible for high vision defects and complicated defects. One of the most important conditions for undergoing laser correction is a sufficiently thick cornea. In each case, the decision about the procedure itself and the specific method that will be performed is made individually for each patient on the basis of a qualifying examination and interview conducted by the doctor and/or optometrist.
