Cataract Surgery + Premium Implants + Femtosecond Laser

A cataract is a clouding of the lens that, if left untreated, leads to vision impairments that hinder daily functioning and often results in complete loss of vision.

Premium implants enable vision without glasses for both distance and near vision. Individual implant selection, discussion of the procedure, and vision outcomes according to specific calculations will be addressed during the qualification examination.

The procedure performed using a femtosecond laser increases the precision and anatomical accuracy of the surgery. At SwissLaser, we use the low-energy ZIEMER Z8 femtosecond laser.

The World Health Organization lists unoperated cataracts as the cause of 35% of all cases of reversible blindness worldwide. Until recently, only mature cataracts were operated on; currently, ophthalmologists maintain that cataract surgery is indicated even in the early stage, provided the vision impairment is significant enough to hinder daily functioning.
