E-EYE – Device for Dry Eye Syndrome Treatment

How E-EYE Technology Works
This technology enables the generation of a sequence of uniform and calibrated light pulses, emitting what is known as ‘cold light,’ which safely stimulates the Meibomian glands. In response to this stimulation, the secretion of polar lipids and non-polar fats is resumed, leading to the restoration of the normal tear film structure and a gradual alleviation of Dry Eye Syndrome (DES) symptoms. In other words: E-EYE stimulates the Meibomian glands to function. The procedure is non-invasive, painless, and completely harmless to the eyeball.

High Efficacy of the E-EYE Device
Clinical studies conducted in France, New Zealand, and China have demonstrated the high efficacy of the device after just the first treatment for Dry Eye Syndrome. Normal Meibomian gland function was restored within a few hours of the E-EYE intervention. The treatment’s efficacy reaches 75-80%, and as many as 90% of patients experience a significant reduction in symptoms after just two treatments. The effect lasts from 7 months to 2 years.

The E-EYE device is ready for use within seconds: it requires no pre-heating or maintenance other than cleaning the applicator. E-Eye has a built-in integrated system that enables a step-by-step validation process to enhance safety. The device features a color touchscreen where parameters can be easily set. Importantly, the E-EYE device is equipped with a chip card that limits the number of flashes performed. This means that one card and one lamp can perform 500 flashes, serving 50 patients. After this, the card and lamp will no longer function. This guarantees maximum efficacy and safety.
