Is it safe to dye my hair before or after laser eye surgery?
Hair coloring around the date laser vision correction surgery is completely safe. However, under no circumstances should you rush to correct your roots immediately after the procedure! Find out why.
The answer is simple. During recovery from laser eye surgery, great care must be taken to ensure that no irritants enter the eye. The point is not only that unwanted chemicals could provoke additional irritation or even induce inflammation. Equally important is the fact that in case of irritation we will have a natural tendency to rub our eyes, which is absolutely forbidden during their healing.
It should also be borne in mind that hair dye can sensitize even if you have not recorded allergic reactions so far. Any allergic reactions in the scalp will be a really bothersome complication in this case.
An unforeseen allergic-inflammatory reaction can cause a lot of trouble, especially in a situation where we are temporarily using antibiotic and moisturizing eye drops anyway, and the application of further medications can result in them entering into an adverse reaction.
