One device, multiple examinations
ANTERION® is an ophthalmic diagnostic platform with a modular design, intended for imaging the anterior segment of the eye.
ANTERION® harnesses the power of high-resolution swept-source OCT imaging to provide essential anterior segment examinations and measurements in one expandable modular platform. This multimodal imaging platform optimized for the anterior segment combines corneal topography and tomography, anterior segment measurement, axial length measurement, and IOL calculation (intraocular lens power calculation – Intraocular lens power calculation) to facilitate routine cataract surgery procedures, as well as glaucoma diagnostics and corneal examination.
ANTERION provides high-quality images and comprehensive measurements while minimizing the time required to perform multiple anterior segment examinations. Simultaneously, visual confirmation of all measurements using high-resolution swept-source OCT images guarantees diagnostic certainty. The foundation of the ANTERION platform is the Imaging App module, which, through additional modules: Cornea, Cataract, Metrics, adapts to user needs and enables diagnosis of every clinical case.
One device, multiple diagnostic possibilities
- The Imaging App enables high-resolution imaging of the entire anterior segment of the eye, from the anterior corneal surface to the posterior lens surface. The resulting swept-source OCT images guarantee the reliability of the diagnosis.
- The Cornea App provides a comprehensive diagnostic solution for evaluating the individual geometry of the patient’s cornea. It allows for diagnosing or monitoring corneal changes, efficient planning and evaluation of refractive surgery outcomes. The combination of high-resolution OCT images and corneal measurements enables in-depth assessment, including curvature maps and anterior and posterior corneal surfaces. Total corneal power, pachymetry, and corneal wavefront analysis provide clear information needed for making specific diagnostic decisions.
- The Cataract App allows for key measurements in cataract surgery planning: corneal analysis, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, and axial length. These measurements are of the highest quality even in very advanced (dense) cataracts. The ability to assess total corneal power guarantees optimal selection of the intraocular lens (IOL), and the integrated spherical and toric IOL calculator enhances the convenience of the preoperative routine.
- The Barrett Module contains calculation formulas enabling toric lens calculation. It only works in conjunction with the Cataract module. The Metrics App, in addition to commonly used parameters, also offers measurement of anterior chamber volume, lens thickness, and vault. The module includes exceptionally clear swept-source OCT images with a view of the anterior chamber in radial view.
