SCHWIND PERAMIS – 2-in-1 Topography and Aberrometry

SCHWIND PERAMIS is a combined topographer and aberrometer that analyzes the optical characteristics of the cornea and the entire eye in a single step. A unique feature of SCHWIND diagnostic devices is the integration of static cyclotorsion control into all treatment methods using SCHWIND AMARIS.

This combined topographer and aberrometer analyzes the optical characteristics of the cornea and the entire eye in a single step. A unique feature of SCHWIND diagnostic devices is the integration of static cyclotorsion control into all treatment methods using SCHWIND AMARIS.

SCHWIND PERAMIS provides extremely precise diagnostic information and assists in determining the appropriate treatment method. SCHWIND PERAMIS offers:

  • A convenient 2-in-1 system combining a topographer and aberrometer – SCHWIND PERAMIS records 33 images per second and automatically selects the one with the best measurement. Since topography and aberrometry are performed with the same device, the patient does not need to change chin rest positions. The measurement is non-contact.
  • A Placido topographer with 1 µm resolution for high precision.
  • An aberrometer with the highest precision: three to six times higher resolution than standard devices on the market. This exceptional performance is based on a high-resolution pyramidal wavefront sensor that measures ocular wavefront aberrations with an unparalleled 45,000 measurement points. In combination with the integrated high-resolution topographer featuring Placido technology, this allows for extremely accurate diagnosis of corneal and ocular aberrations.
  • Comprehensive evaluation of corneal and ocular wavefront data in a single step. Since both diagnostic tools are combined in one device, data can be compared to identify internal aberrations. This helps the physician determine the treatment method that best suits each patient.
  • Static cyclotorsion information for more accurate treatment results. This ensures optimal centering and increased precision in astigmatism treatment, as well as perfect operation of the SCHWIND Corneal Wavefront Analyzer module.
  • Integrated pupillometry function to aid in treatment planning. It captures pupil diameter dynamically or statically, depending on specified lighting conditions.

SCHWIND PERAMIS, like other components of the SCHWIND Diagnostic System (SCHWIND Corneal Wavefront Analyzer, SCHWIND SIRIUS, and the universal Combi Wavefront Analyzer – a combination of SCHWIND PERAMIS and SIRIUS), offers a wide range of measurement methods and diagnostic options for refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery, including pachymetric data. The sophisticated ergonomic design of each component and ease of use significantly facilitate clinical work. All acquired diagnostic data can be imported into the SCHWIND CAM treatment planning tool with a single click.
