FEMTO LDV lasers are characterized by the highest pulse repetition rate among all systems available on the market.
FEMTO LDV Laser in Ophthalmic Surgery
FEMTO LDV lasers are distinguished by the highest pulse repetition rate among all systems available on the market. This allows for the use of low energy with precise overlapping of successive laser spots. The compact design, combined with its small mass and dimensions, enables full mobility and operation in rooms with varying humidity and air temperature.
Modern Laser Systems for Eye Surgery
Ziemer’s FEMTO LDV Z models are powerful platforms for performing a wide range of ophthalmic surgeries. Each system – FEMTO LDV Z2, Z4, and Z6 – offers unique solutions that ensure unparalleled results. Each system can be easily upgraded to a higher model.
FEMTO LDV Z4 in Corneal Surgery
The advanced FEMTO LDV Z4 technology enables the creation of various corneal applications. Thanks to low-energy, high-repetition-rate technology combined with the X-Y-Z movement of the lens, it is possible to create excellent, truly personalized flaps, pockets for corneal implants, and tunnels for intrastromal rings.
Modern Laser Systems for Eye Surgery
Thanks to the laser’s architecture – with the most accurate focusing quality, low energy, and the highest repetition rate among all femtosecond laser systems – the spots remain very small and completely overlap.
Procedures performed by FEMTO LDV lasers can be divided into three groups
Refractive Surgery: Z-LASIK, Z-LASIK Z, LASIK Optima, CLEAR, corneal implants
Advantages:
- a unique procedure for creating LASIK flaps with a smooth corneal stroma and consistent precision
- flaps have no tissue bridges and are therefore easy to lift
- low pulse energy does not cause cell damage and induces a minimal treatment-related reaction post-procedure
Therapeutic Surgery:
Tunnels for Intrastromal Rings:
Advantages:
- pre-programmed trajectories for most rings
- option for manual trajectory programming
- two separate tunnels or one complete up to 360 degrees
- two depths
