The EVO ICL phakic lens is a soft implant made of Collamer, which we implant between the iris and the eye’s natural lens. We do not remove corneal tissue or the natural lens. This is a solution for individuals with high myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism for whom laser surgery is unsafe or insufficient. The procedure is personally performed by Dr. Victor Derhartunian in Warsaw and Krakow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are phakic lenses?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A phakic lens (ICL, Implantable Collamer Lens) is an additional, soft lens implanted into the eye behind the iris.<\/strong> The natural lens and cornea remain intact, and the eye retains its natural accommodation \u2014 this distinguishes this method from both laser surgery, which changes the shape of the cornea, and lens exchange, where the natural lens is removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This solution is primarily used when laser surgery is not an option: for myopia up to \u221218 D, hyperopia up to +10 D, or astigmatism up to 6 D, in cases of excessively thin corneas, dry eye syndrome, or stable keratoconus after cross-linking. The procedure takes 10\u201320 minutes per eye and is performed under topical anesthesia, without hospitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The method is reversible<\/strong> \u2014 the lens can be removed or replaced, and the eye returns to its pre-procedure state. No other vision correction method offers this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
