Neben der klinischen Diagnostik des vorderen Augenabschnitts kann das MS-39 in der Hornhautchirurgie zur Planung refraktiver Operationen eingesetzt werden. Ein IOL-Berechnungsmodul (IOL, engl. intraocular lens \u2013 implantierbare Intraokularlinse, ein Modul zur Berechnung der optimalen St\u00e4rke der implantierbaren Linse) basierend auf Ray-Tracing-Techniken ist ebenfalls verf\u00fcgbar. Das MS-39\u00ae bietet eine umfassendere Hornhautbeurteilung, indem es eine breite Palette von Messungen des vorderen Augenabschnitts erm\u00f6glicht, von der Epitheldickenkarte bis zur kristallinen Linse mit gro\u00dfem Durchmesser.
